Renowned qualifications

Renowned qualifications by internationally
The University of London International Programmes delivers degree programmes developed by the Colleges of the University of London, which have an international reputation for the quality of their teaching and research. Today there are over 900 students studying in Bangladesh for a University of London qualification. The majority of these are studying for the Diploma and Bachelor of Laws or the BSc Business Administration.
You can browse our full list of undergraduate programmes (for holders of UK 'A' levels or equivalent qualifications) or use our 'Find a Course' facility.
Qualifications valued by the professions and employers
Our programmes provide an opportunity to obtain a highly-valued degree which opens doors in your career. Our alumni gain prestigious jobs in law firms, banks, multinational companies and professional services firms and go on to further study at prestigious universities worldwide.
Study independently or attend classes at local institutions
In Bangladesh the majority of our students attend classes at local teaching institutions to study at undergraduate level. We have created a system of recognition for institutions, which operate within our quality assurance framework to help you in your choice of institution.
Recognised centres in Bangladesh are below:
Bhuiyan Academy
British School of Law
Dhaka Centre for Law and Economics
London College of Legal Studies (Gulshan)
London College of Legal Studies (South)
Newcastle Law Academy
The following institution has commenced the process for becoming recognised:

Our General Entrance Requirements for undergraduate degree programmes are expressed in terms of UK GCE ‘A’ levels and UK GCSE/GCE ‘O’ levels. We equate the secondary school leaving examinations taken in Bangladesh (Higher Secondary Certificate or Intermediate Secondary Certificate) as being equivalent to UK GCSE/GCE ‘O’ levels and therefore they do not meet our full entry requirements.
The following qualifications are equivalent to our general entrance requirements:
  • Passes in two academic subjects at GCE UK ‘A’ level, with not less than a Grade E in each, plus three Bangladeshi HSCs passed at 60% or above.
  • Passes in three academic subjects at GCE 'A' level (with one 'A' level at not less than Grade D and two at grade E)
  • An International Baccalaureate (the Diploma)
  • An Advanced International Certificate of Education, with a minimum score of 120 points
  • A two-year first degree from an acceptable institution in Bangladesh. First degrees of longer duration and postgraduate programmes from acceptable institutions also meet our general entry requirements.
Many of our programmes also have their own additional entrance requirements, which can be found on our programme pages. We require all applicants to demonstrate a certain level of competence in English.
